Good Times.

We have had two wonderful weekends in a row! Last weekend we were able to spend time in Columbia with my parents and my sister and her husband (Mike and Sheila). Mike and Sheila will be moving to Idaho in two weeks, so this was a great chance to spend quality time with them before they move and we can't see them as much. They even brought their dog to meet ours. The dogs never stopped playing together! During our weekend together we went to Charlotte, NC to tour the Billy Graham Library, which was a neat experience for all of us. Following that Mike took us to the man-made river where the Olympics train for white water rafting and kayaking. This was quite a sight to see. It is open to the public as a park and people bike the trails around the river, white water raft, kayak, hangout & listen to music, climb the rock walls, zip-line, etc. What fun we had! We ended the weekend with a nice meal at our close family friends the Jann's.

As this weekend went on the one thing that continued to pop into my head was the idea of how as children you take family for granted and don't get along with them, but as adults you continue to grow closer and closer with your family becoming great friends and cherishing every moment together!

This past weekend Jonny and I got to spend some great quality time together. Friday night he took me downtown Greenville to walk Main St. and get coffee at Starbucks. Then on Saturday we were able to go antiquing together and we found some great books for Jonny ( by C.H. Spurgeon & by Martin Luther). He was very excited to discover this shop bc he already has his list of books he wants to go back and buy once we have money. After that we were able to spend the day with some great friends, Jim & Sara. While spending time with them we went to Miracle Hill Thrift and I got the bargain of my life... 6 really nice shirts for 5$! Thanks to my wonderful employee discount. I will be shopping there way more often. We ended our day with our first ministry event. We set all the games up outside and within 5 minutes it started to downpour. We moved everything into the ministry apartment and improvised. Things turned out well and we had 8 kids show up! With that said we are thankful for the second apartment (ministry apartment) and that we are excited to continue to have more events and kids club!

Our Sabbath was the best day of the weekend! We decided to try a church near our house that we always drive by, just to see what it was like. We loved what we heard that morning and have decided to attend this church and attend their "new member/visitor" Sunday School class for the next couple of weeks. We are very excited to know that we are that much closer to being completely settled here in Greenville. After church we went grocery shopping together, made a wonderful lunch, and then relaxed!
