I'm back at it... Linking up with {av} for a much needed Friday's Fancies! My wishlist has been constantly growing with all the amazing trends coming out for fall and winter! My favorite trend is definitely the furs... I never thought I'd say that, but it's true! I'm dying to find a lovely vest like this one. & if only I could pull off some killer heels like these boots, I'd also get them. This entire outfit is stunning & flawless... if only I had the big bucks! But, the reality of it is that it is called a wishlist for a reason...

{av} must be reading my mind & my schedule when she plans these weekly themes because the past few times they have lined up perfectly! Today's theme is Wedding Chic & it just so happens that tomorrow I am heading to a wedding to help with the photography! So, I literally have been running around all day trying to find an outfit just like my Friday's Fancies. You can't go wrong with a classic black dress that has moment, a stunning camera bag, and some simple (comfy) flats... Unfortunately, I found nothing of the sort so I am resorting to a classic black skirt with a lacy black top! Keeping it simple and black so I blend right in and draw no attention to myself! Being the second shooter takes a lot of pressure off me since I won't be in charge of the big shots, but I will be in charge of the photo booth at the reception! I'm rather nervous, I'll admit... so wish me luck!!

Today over on {av's} link up we are all contributing our Back to School Best! I knew I wanted to try and stick to the typical "school girl" look, but add some spice! I have completely fallen in love with this layered look, the stripes & the pop of pink.  I mean who can go wrong with this color pallet?! O, and that bag? ADORABLE. I wish I could run out and buy it right now... In all honesty, I wish I were going back to school. I miss all the fun supply shopping & hype of meeting new friends! But those days are long gone... Or at least until I have kids! :-)

Today's theme over on {av's} page is RED. It is the new hit this season!! I'm sure we all have seen this striped dress over at J.Crew. Well, I have & always will be in love with its simplicity & comfort level!... As I always say, Comfort is Key!! Especially on days like today, when I'm lounging around job hunting on the internet!! O, such discouragement that comes with this task.  Jobs. Who really needs them?! If only a job would just fall into my lap, then I wouldn't have to stress over it any more!!

As you can tell, I'm loving brown leather with a pop of color, right now... & O man, I can't wait to wear jackets, hats & boots! I'm wishing away summer & hoping for Fall weather, soon!!

Today, I'm off to take the poor hubby to the doctor! You know he's really sick when he wakes me up at 6:45am to tell me he called into work & needs me to get him into the doctor soon. Poor poor guy. I think the busyness & chaos of July has caught up to him...

TGIF! I'm especially thankful for it being Friday today, simply because that means I'm heading to Charleston! I'm so glad {av's} Beachy Chic theme fell on today since it fits so well with my plans! It's the last little trip my mom will be able to take during her time here in SC. The big move out west is coming in two weeks, which means the beach will soon be over 20 hours away from her! So, a day trip to walk the beach & hit some antique stores is much needed...

One thing I love is that dressing for the beach is so simple. All you need is a cute dress as a cover up & your swimsuit... just grab it and go! That's why this outfit is so perfect as my "dream" outfit for today's get-away!!

Welcome to this weeks Friday's Fancies!! This weeks theme over on {av's} link up is of course, Fourth of July inspired looks! I'll be honest & say that we really don't have plans for the Fourth... This weekend is the start of a chaotic month for me! And I apologize in advance if I start slacking more and more on blogging this month. I will literally be out of town the entire month of July! Like I said, chaos & busyness... If I were to have plans, I'm sure we would be adventuring downtown for the huge yearly firework show after a nice dinner out & this would be my dream outfit to wear!

It's Friday & the hubs & I are off on a day date! Last nights date  to the theater was so much fun that we thought we should go out again today! So, we're off to the zoo to spend as much time together before I leave him next week for two whole weeks. We decided on the zoo because we've never been to the GVille zoo. Which is crazy because in college we spent most of our time at the zoo in Columbia! We just love the zoo... I tried to keep my Friday's Fancies look casual & zoo-esque, but with that extra 'cute' appeal since it is a date, afterall! The outfit all started with these A-MAZING shorts, which are to die for. And then it kind of evolved from there! So I'm heading to have a ton of dental procedures done this morning, meaning I'm getting sedated... If you know me at all you know that the sedation HAD to happen because of my STRONG fear & hatred of the dentist. I think I described it last time as nails on a chalk board x100000.... But, I'm hoping and wishing that the majority of the meds will be wore off by the time tonight rolls around! Because tonight is that big surprise from the hubby. We're getting all fancied up and going to two places which we have reservations... & I still have no clue what to expect. I'm clueless! Here's my Friday's Fancies outfit, which I absolutely love. If only I could actually afford to go buy all of this just for tonight, I totally would! I mean look at how gorgeous that Kate Spade necklace is & the wonderful green dress... It's to die for!

Hello Friday! I'm so glad you are here...

Last night we moved back into our own home after house-sitting for 10 days! During those 10 days my time was consumed with watching HGTV! My new favorite network, even though I don't have cable. But, I got so much inspiration & so many ideas that the first thing I wanted to do when I got home was re-decorate! So, today was my day to go out shopping... I had so much fun looking and dreaming of different things for our place! My Friday's Fancies was created around this little adventure. I needed comfort & something 'cool' since I'm back to driving my car with no a/c! O man, were we spoiled the last 10 days. I guess you don't realize it until you don't have it anymore... anyway, no more rambles. I found this shirt and fell in love with the stripes and the colors. I wish I had it in my own wardrobe! And of course, love the basic jean shorts. Amazing!

Happy Friday!!

I'm linking up with {av} for Friday's Fancies! And it feels good to be back!

Lately, my go-to outfits have all involved a simple button-up shirt. So, I figured what better than to incorporate a nice gingham shirt into my 'wish list'. I think they're absolutely adorable and comfy! You know me, all about the comfort level! Especially for a busy weekend like we have coming up... Tomorrow will be full of graduation parties, a book releasing party, & packing! Once Monday gets here, we're off again. Well, kinda. We're driving up the road about 15 miles to a really nice house that has a big screen tv, bad mitten net, a grill, a neighborhood pool, bikes, & two dogs waiting for us to take care of them! Yep - we'll be house-sitting for the next two weeks while some friends explore Ireland (so jealous). It will actually be more of a vacation for us than any kind of duty. We're pretty excited for another little get-away! I'll be spending most of my time on bike rides & at the pool!

Extra motivation?

I'm back at it. Happy Friday's Fancies! ... sorry I missed last week, I was too caught up in the wedding I was helping with! Today I went with a dressy/casual look (well, that's an oxymoron). Let me explain, I'm in a {very} lounging around mood, but I know I have a ton to get done before we leave this weekend. My theory was that a cute dressier outfit would give me extra motivation to get out there and get things done! So far, not so much... I'm still sitting here on the couch playing around with my photography blog (since blogger was down) & trying to find some good (free) photo editing software!  Confession, currently I don't really edit my photo's beyond the basic cropping, black & white or boosting color... Suggestions for software? Yes, please... send them my way.

Outfit #1: Cleaning/packing

This is my 'reality' outfit! Today, I'm heading to Columbia to help my parents start packing and prepping for the big move. This outfit encompasses the comfort which I need to be running around, getting dusty (& dirty) as we clean and pack all weekend long! ... The look is based off of comfort, of course, and the fact that I've been longing for a great pair of boyfriend jeans, such as these! 

Outfit #2: Royal Wedding

I must admit I'm extremely bummed I didn't wake up early to see it! I have heard (& seen) great things about it. I feel like that was a once in a life time thing (for my generation) and I totally missed out! Boo, on that... But, I found this dress and fell in love with it. I knew immediately that it would have been the dress I wore! I absolutely adore how classy & formal it is with a touch of fun with the one shoulder look!

Happy Friday... Happy GOOD Friday! 

Tonight I'll be attending the Good Friday service at my church, Summit Upstate! I'm excited for this service because it will primarily be a worship service (songs led by my talented husband) to commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and His death on the cross! As a Christian this is a special weekend because Christ died for my (our) sins and it's a time to reflect on the true meaning of having a Savior & King!

Whoa, this week flew by and was crazier than ever!
But, I am so excited that it's Friday! And I can just chill and relax on my couch before a wonderful date night tonight! ...For the past several weeks I've been daydreaming about a little get-away since it's much needed. And the other night didn't help when we went swimsuit shopping... The beach sounds so PERFECT right now! It's about time to be soaking up some sun for a good tan and relaxing by the water! My Friday's Fancies comes from that daydreaming... the perfect black one-piece (I'm hoping to get b/c it's extremely flattering. I should know from that little outing with the hubs. He even fell in love with the suit) and a cool (breezy) outfit! Oh, & if you can't tell, I'm obsessing over the floppy hat right now. I just love how adorable they are!

Happy Friday!
This week came and went so fast that I almost forgot to do my Friday's Fancies!
I'm so excited because today my best friend Jessy comes in town! I'll be cleaning all morning for her weekend stay with us. And then we have plans for a pedi and soaking up some sun downtown! I'm hoping it won't rain on us though... I'm kinda over rain since we've had so much the past three weeks!

I'll let yall in on a little secret... Friday's Fancies are super hard for me! I go onto Polyvore.com and I see all the different items pop up once I start searching, and I fall in love with sooo many of them that I get stuck! Today, I have absolutely no plans so I had all the freedom in the world with my outfit! Being that it's cold and rainy outside (again), I stuck to my gut feeling that I'll probably be inside most of the day. So, I went with a comfy outfit that used items that I've been wanting or eying for sometime now... such as a messenger bag, a striped shirt (just like the one pictured), an infinity scarf, and some Oxford shoes! So really, today's fancies are more of a simplified wish list!

Now let me just say, ALL of you should really go check out {AV} & Jillian! They are such sweet girls and I love their blogs... I'm still really new at this entire blogging thing (and the blogging world), but one thing I've found is that it really is a community (or multiple communities)! However, I've also noticed that it's hit or miss at which circle (community) lets you in or responds... But, these two ladies have been faithful readers (and comment-ers) on my blog and I'm so thankful for that! Thanks girls, for really showing some blogger friendliness!

I have no big plans tonight, besides a small get together for 'Girls Night' at a friends house. So, I went with a casual fun look with all items that I have been longing to have in my own closet!

1) I think this awesome leather jacket is stunning! I have been seeing more and more leather jackets lately, and I have fallen in love with them! I love how classy this one is and I love the color!
2) A basic white tee... I'll be honest, I have no white in my closet! I know a white tee and a white button up are both essential items to have, but I have never gotten around to buying them! The tee adds the casual look to the outfit that I'm going for!
3) Yep, here they are again! Some wide leg jeans. I just love them so much and need to suck it up and go buy some!!

4) Today, I used Polyvore.com to create this look and to my surprise these adorable shoes popped up and I fell in love with them! Everything is perfect about them, the color is my favorite part!
