A glimpse at our Christmas...

The celebration always start on Christmas Eve with the simple tradition of Christmas PJ's! This year was much more exciting being that this was the first present Zeek's ever opened! With no hesitation he ripped right in...

He was a little too excited from opening his gift & didn't want to go to sleep since he knew we would continue partying without him. After Zeek was sound asleep Jonny & I ate our cheese & crackers while we snuggled up next to the fire and watched a Christmas movie! The tradition is to watch Polar Express, but this year we opted for The Grinch and later regret not sticking to our original movie. Lesson learned, we will always watch the Polar Express Christmas Eve! Now, don't get me wrong, we love the Grinch and could watch it over and over again. But, once you're use to a certain thing you've got to stick to it!

We were all rested for Christmas morning & ready for a peaceful family time of opening gifts, breakfast, & naps...

We had the annual cinnamon rolls, eggs, & bacon for breakfast! & Zeek sure does love cinnamon rolls ... And the first gift opened was Zeeks Christmas ornament to always remember his first Christmas - 2013. Thanks mom!

This year Jonny & I tried to be very practical with gifts, for both each other and for Zeek! It seems like we've had an ever growing list of things we need, and once there are things you need it's hard to think of things you want because those needs tend to become your wants! So, Zeek got his pj's and two age appropriate toys (bc I've never bought Zeek toys before, literally - bad mom)! And as for Jonny & I, we both got clothes - much needed clothes, clothes with no holes or rips & that actually fit!

Zeeks two toys, which he thankfully loves! After Zeek opened his gifts & played for a while he went right down for an extra long morning nap (I think he was worn out). So, Jonny & I had some quality time to enjoy our breakfast, relax, open each others gifts (without Zeek ripping in), & watch a Christmas movie together! It was overall a very quite relaxing Christmas!

We ended our day with family Christmas at Jonny's Parents! We had great food, laughter, & more gifts. We were all very spoiled... Zeek gave lots of snuggles to aunts, uncles & grandparents before we headed home to say good-bye to Jonny! Jonny left Christmas night for his long awaited surprise road trip to CA...
