Excitement!

(Family Vacation 2010 @ Lake Hartwell)

What a wonderful relaxing time! One thing that brings absolute peace to me is riding on a boat with the breeze in my hair while I marvel at God's beauty! We went on several sunset boat rides over the weekend and it was so refreshing. We also had the chance to go jet skiing, which was an absolute blast. And had great family time as we all lazed around in the water and soaked up more than enough sun. Praise God for that little break that I needed!

I officially start work tomorrow at Miracle Hills Boys Home as the Volunteer Coordinator! As I've said before I've been very back and forth about this job, but God has made it clear this is where HE wants me and HE has begun to put excitement in me (past my selfish desires He still works). I had orientation last Thursday and this brought new light and excitement to both Jonny & I. I learned so much about the ministry and fell in love it! Miracle Hill reaches out and helps so many different people that it rejuvenated my heart and reminded me of why I studied Psychology (I want to help and love on others)! Not only did orientation make me fall in love with the ministry, but it opened my eyes to all the future possibilities this job may bring (such as opportunities to be hired into other positions since they try to hire within the company and also possibilities of going back to school for counseling and having Miracle Hill
help pay for my schooling...). Miracle Hill really helps and provides for their employees. It's great to know that my employer will be taking great care of me!

Not only is there new excitement for my job, but I am stoked about our ministry in the apartment complex! I continue to have random ideas and activities pop into my head that we can do to minister to those around us! As we were visiting the apartment the other day we got to see all the kids running around and playing on the play ground and it excited us to see only a small portion of what our ministry will be focused on. We've also been excited because more and more Sunday School classes (at Taylors First Baptist who we are employed with) are coming to us (and the couple currently in the ministry) to get involved and partner with us in our ministry! What an awesome introduction to the community we will be in!

We are praising God for all that HE is doing and is providing!
