We are officially moved in and all settled into our new home... and we absolutely LOVE it! I have never been fond of apartments or even liked them, but I must admit that I love ours. The layout and how much space there is makes it more of a house feel than an apartment feel. All of our furniture has its own perfect spot and we all of our colors and decorations go perfect!
My job has been going good! Its not my favorite thing or what kind of job I desire to have, but it's a job and I'm thankful for it. Some days are boring and some days are stressful! It breaks my heart to hear some of the boys stories and to see how in-and-out of the house they are.... we are constantly getting new boys and old boys continue to run away!
One thing I'm very excited about is the apartment ministry. We had an event with Josh and Christen as our introduction party and they were only expecting 3-6 kids to show up, but at least 20 kids showed up. We viewed that as God's blessing and encouragement for this ministry. We've already met several people in our apartment complex and there are constantly kids out on the play ground or riding their bikes around our parking lot. I'm looking forward to doing craft days, bible studies, kids parties, tail gating, etc. Please keep this ministry in your prayers along with Miracle Hill Ministries!
Jonny is still looking for jobs... his resume and application is out there at more places than we can remember! But we do have a lead on a job at the new Apple store. Our last day in Columbia a guy from our churches brother came to visit. Jonny and him got along right from the start and as conversation grew the guy looked at Jonny and said "just by talking to you I know for a fact your personality would do perfect working at Apple..." It just so happens that he is from here in Greenville, working at Apple! So J has put his application in, Tim has put an employee referral in, and J has been in the store several times and has met several managers. We are praying that this is where God wants him. It would be a full time job with benefits and something that J would really enjoy! Please keep praying for this as well.
We are excited to continue this new journey. :-)
