Starting with an update to our previous post about settling at North Hills Church...
That is false information now! God has opened, yet again, another door for us. Last week Jonny got a phone call from his old youth pastor, who is now a pastor in church planting, and he wanted to go to lunch with Jonny. Jonny and I both assumed it was a simple lunch with the intent of "catching-up". Little did we know that Jason was going to talk to Jonny about leading worship at one of their churches. He asked us to consider it and to at least visit the church and see if we liked it. So we did. And we loved the church! Therefore, we will be attending The Summit church which is only 5 minutes from our apartment, and Jonny will be leading worship there! Praise God! Multiple answered prayers within that one transition (finding a good community where we can easily get plugged in and Jonny finding a job in leading worship). Granted it is a part-time job, but this allows Jonny to hopefully work for Apple while he still uses his gifts for God in music!
Moving on to our wonderful day off! Today, Labor day, Jonny & I had the chance to spend a great relaxing, but productive day together. The morning consisted of us spending time in the mountains; hiking, exploring, and taking pictures!
In the afternoon, we were able to paint both our patio table and our dresser!
We have so much fun together!! :-)

Yay! I'm so happy Jonny found this job! Any updates on the Apple job? Also, I love love love the color on the patio table! It's perfect!
ReplyDeleteYou don't know how happy it makes me to know that you both have such fun together! That is what marriage is all about, being best friends and enjoying each others company. Can't imagine if that wasn't the case for me and Gordon too. So thankful you came into our lives!!!
