1. For date night we decided to freeze our bottoms off and wait around for the annual Christmas parade downtown... I hadn't been to a parade since I was maybe in middle school, so it was rather exciting to go, but yet a little disappointing because it wasn't everything I remembered a "parade" to be! I later realized that was simply because I'm an adult now and everything's on a completely different scale than when I was younger! Sometimes I wish I still had the imagination and "freedom" that kids do...
2. Finding new ways to tie a scarf is always fun and exciting!
3. My dear friend Sara threw me such a sweet intimate baby shower with friends & family! It's always such a blessing & encouragement to celebrate Zeek with others! I left feeling so much more ready and excited for him to be here already...
4. This month there has been a lot of addressing envelopes going on around here! Between Christmas and baby showers we had so many cards to send out to loved ones! I thought I was all caught up until I remembered I have my biggest shower coming this weekend. Now I'm just intimidated to continue on with all my personal thank you's because I feel like I can't thank everyone enough for all their support!!
5. These beautiful crafts are what hang above Zeeks crib! My sweet friend Mel hand-made them for us and I couldn't be more thrilled. She is so talented. It's so fun to see everything coming together in nursery!
6. 33 weeks... This was right before I headed out to see my hubbys hard work put into our church Christmas show 'Jingle Jazz'! He worked so hard on the show for months that it was fun to see him on stage enjoying himself and hearing the audience respond with great joy & laughter!
7. My drink of choice this past month... Hot Cocoa! I can thank my pregnancy for that because I usually don't enjoy hot cocoa because it's too sweet, but clearly Zeek has a sweet tooth and prefers me to indulge in it!
8. Christmas morning! There was way too much relaxing going on around here...
9. Baths. My life saver! It's one of the only things that keeps me warm, calm, relaxed (physically & mentally), and able to fall asleep at night! It is my safe haven... I'll admit there have been weeks where I've taken a bath every single night before bed. That's how addicted I am!
10. 34 weeks. Day after Christmas! Things are still smooth sailing with my pregnancy. Still nothing to complain about! Zeek is still moving around like crazy, so much so he decided to reposition himself... he has dropped a good bit, preparing himself to come be with us! I can't believe his arrival date is exactly one month from today!! We can't wait... Jonny's even more anxious than I am! He woke up the other morning and the first thing he asked me was if I had my bags packed yet, because Zeek could come any day!
11. My new toy. I'm so so excited to get this new external flash before Zeek comes because I know it will come in handy as he grows up! And I know he's going to become my main lil model/subject! :-)
12. Our best friend from college came to visit this past weekend! It's always good to catch up with old friends. Since she was here over New Years we had some great talks and reflection on how we've all changed this past year & since college. What a huge encouragement that was and what a huge encouragement to see her continuing to pursue God! I just wish she lived closer by so we could see each other more often!
13. Coffee Dates with the hubby! I'm so so spoiled to have such an amazing husband who loves me deeply and continues to show me love in many different ways!
14. Happy New Year! Here's to the life changing year 2013!
